CORRECTIONS POLICY

Corrections are part of the record.

Public records, identity attribution, derived comparisons, and commercial interpretations can be incomplete or wrong. Signum accepts well-supported corrections and challenges as part of the integrity process.

What to submit

the page, card, report, or record being challenged;
the exact statement or field at issue;
the reason you believe it is incomplete or wrong;
a primary source or other evidence where available;
your name, professional role, and contact information;
any request for confidentiality, with the understanding that Signum may need enough information to investigate.

How Signum handles a correction

1. Record the submission and acknowledge receipt.
2. Preserve the original published or delivered version.
3. Re-open the relevant source, identity, calculation, or interpretation.
4. Determine whether the issue is factual, derived, interpretive, incomplete, or outside the record.
5. Correct, annotate, supersede, or decline the request with a reason appropriate to the circumstances.
6. Preserve a material correction date and reason.
7. Notify affected controlled partners or clients when the correction materially changes a delivered assessment.

Correction states

Corrected - a factual or derived error was changed.
Clarified - wording was improved without changing the underlying conclusion.
Superseded - a later record or corrected assessment replaced the earlier one.
Unresolved - the available evidence does not permit a reliable conclusion.
Declined - the submitted material did not establish a correction; the reason is recorded internally.

Removal standard

Signum prefers correction and supersession over silent removal. Content may be removed or access restricted when required by law, privacy, security, source rights, contractual obligation, or an evidentiary defect that cannot be responsibly repaired in place.
